Always Abby: How to Style a Bandana

I’m sure you’ve seen a bandana at least once in your lifetime. Now, would you have ever thought to use it as a fashion accessory?  No? Yeah me neither. After coming across this reoccurring trend while scrolling on Instagram and browsing through Pinterest, I thought let’s try it! So today, I will be showing you how to style your bandana three different ways.

For the outfit I paired it with, we have ‘The girl next door meets Calgary Stampede attendee’ look; something a little cute and flirty to stray away from normcore for a change. The pieces I chose give off a subtle western feel, especially with the denim jacket and faux suede skirt. This just proves you won’t always need to style in plaid for your Calgary Stampede outfit. (Yay!)

If I was attending the Calgary Stampede, I would definitely substitute my Vans for a pair of cowboy boots and top the look off with a cowboy hat and maybe even layer the bandana choker with a bolo necklace. The possibilities are endless.

  1. Front and back choker

A bandana around the neck is a classic. But this time, style it as a neckerchief and a choker instead of hanging loosely around your neck.

  1. Wristband

Now for some of you, a bandana might be a little uncomfortable around the neck.

Voila! You can wear it as a wristband as well.

  1. Headband

To my fellow ladies! Try to reach your inner Rosie the Riveter with this one.

There is a one hundred percent chance I will be participating in this trend just a tad longer. So make sure you add @Bootleggerjeans on Snapchat and Instagram to show us your recreated bandana looks.
