Spring Break Outfits For Her and Him

Oh Spring Break, you have been greatly missed. Temperatures are finally on the rise, but it seems like Mr. Sun is still waiting to make it’s grand entrance for the season. The days are longer but you’ve got to admit, trying to adjust to losing an hour of sleep has taken a bit of time.Realistically, there are two types of Spring Break. Canadian weather Spring Break and Get-a-Way Vacation Spring Break. Challenging right? Well don’t fret, we’ve come up with a few combinations to help you prepare for any type of Spring Break adventure. Whether you’re taking a trip to Mexico or enjoying a staycation, Bootlegger has got you covered for the sun to the town! Who’s ready?

Spring is the perfect time to lighten up the layers and exchange heavy parkas for Spring Jackets. Our Dylan fit denim jacket  is a must for Spring and Summer, but this year, we’ve revamped it by adding an embroidered floral detail. Pair this with Livy, a light and airy floral dress that’s perfect for an easy and comfortable look on the go. We’ve also added in a high waisted short  with a button fly closure that you can throw on for any last minute plans. Add a straw hat to protect yourself from the sun and you’re good to go!

For the ladies staying local, the trick is to layer your pieces during this time of year. In the morning, it’s chilly and brisk but by mid afternoon, you soon find yourself breaking a small sweat. We adore the Avery fit from Silver, but instead of a classic skinny jean, let’s replace it for a high rise crop. It’s tempting to style this with a basic tee but why not try something a little more daring? Try pairing your jeans with Verana, a flirty white blouse with eyelet detailing and adjustable string straps. For warmth, colour and even texture (talk about a complete package) throw on our Ava cardigan. This cardigan will definitely keep you warm under your coat because of it’s fabric blend of wool, acrylic and cotton. If you’re really daring, tie a bandana around your wrist.

We’re going to keep this easy and simple for you. A graphic tee with a pair of shorts is the ultimate warm weather combination. For shorts, we added two styles – a classic cargo and a board short. Both are perfect for any type of outing. Throw on your denim jacket for when it gets cold and top the look off with the ultimate baseball cap (for the messy hair days).

Voila! We’ve released a denim short that I guarantee, will become your go-to short for Spring and Summer. What’s great about a denim short is that you can style it just like your jeans – with anything. For a night out, wear your printed polo and for days you’re out and about, wear your graphic tee. Feeling cold? Simply swap out your shorts for some light wash slim straights. Easy, right?
